Music Therapy is an evidence-based practice that uses musical interventions to achieve extra-musical goals. Goals can include improving communication, encouraging self-expression. Clients are not expected to have had prior musical training to be in Music Therapy. You can find out more about how music therapy benefits different populations here.
We offer individual sessions for children of all abilities. Sessions are underpinned by principles of Nordoff-Robbins Creative Music Therapy Approach, a music-centered and client-centered approach which functions on the premise that every individual has the innate musical ability to respond to music.
Clients can expect to participate through music interventions such as singing, playing of instruments in a safe environment.
